Post-doctoral position in Energy Conservation and Sustainability at UCLA
The UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability is offering a post-doctoral position in Energy Conservation and Sustainability.
The candidate will take a leading role in a research project funded by a grant from the California Energy Commission, which includes the following tasks:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of energy efficiency programs using residential consumption and program participation data in Los Angeles.
- Produce an energy efficiency program Effectiveness Report
This project involves working with large databases of residential electricity consumption data.
The candidate will work primarily with Professor Delmas and the team of researchers associated with the CEC grant.
Relevant disciplines are economics, statistics, strategy and management, but others can be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative analytical skills.
Starting date: June 2016 or later
Qualifications: Applicants should hold a PhD and strong demonstrated potential and interest to conduct research and ability working in an interdisciplinary team.
The annual stipend will be $75,000 for 12 months including benefits. An additional $1,000 will be provided for a laptop.
