Dear ONE-Colleagues,
Results: How can student action transform higher education institutions
towards Sustainability? What alliances are needed and how can
entrepreneurial thinking push action at the local University level? The
first oikos award for student entrepreneurship in higher Education went
to the University of California Santa Cruz for the “Education for a
Sustainable Living Program (ESLP). As a representative of the ESLP
Program, Marcia Winslade (UC St. Cruz) received the award at the oikos
winter school on November 24, 2005. Congratulations! Read more about her

Reminder: The closing date for submissions for the 3rd. oikos
Sustainability Case Writing Competition is Wednesday, November 30th,
2005. We already received a number of highly innovative cases from 3
continents. A double blind short-feedback is given to each case
contributor. If you want to submit your case or want to check
inspection-copies of previous competitions' winning cases, please have a

The University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), in cooperation with oikos
foundation, will host the 2nd. International Gronen Conference on
"Sustainability Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship" in July
10-12, 2006. A number of leading scholars such as Alberto Aragon-Correa,
Sanjay Sharma, Mike Russo and Andrew J. Hoffman already confirmed
participation. Participation is limited to 60 attendees. Both senior and
junior scholars are invited to participate and contribute with a paper
to the conference. The deadline for paper submissions is January 31,

The oikos virtual campus - a documentation of the oikos winter school
2006 is now online. The winter school involved speakers from the World
