The Maine Business School of the University of Maine invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Strategic Management at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, contingent upon funding. The Maine Business School currently
has about 900 students and 18 full time faculty members, and is AACSB-accredited at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The school offers an undergraduate Business Administration degree with concentrations in management, accounting, marketing,
finance and management information systems. Graduate programs at the Masters level include the Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Accounting. For more information, please see the University of Maine Business School website, at

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching as well as the ability and drive to publish in scholarly outlets. The course load is three courses per semester at both undergraduate and graduate
levels. The candidates teaching responsibilities will primarily be the undergraduate capstone and other management courses as needed. Opportunities also exist to participate in interdisciplinary programs such as the Universitys Center for
Innovation, Honors Seminars, and Women in the Curriculum. Every faculty member is expected to participate in service activities.
University of Maine at Orono is the states flagship land- and sea-grant campus, with 10,500 students. Orono is close to Bangor, Maines 3rd largest city. Located in the Penobscot River Valley, University of Maine is within an hour of the
seacoast, 2 hours of the mountains, and is surrounded by freshwater rivers, lakes and ponds. The region abounds with many recreational and cultural opportunities.
Requirements for the position are a Ph.D or D.B.A. in management from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates nearing completion of their doctorate may be considered; however they must have a clear expectation of being completed by June 2006.
For the Associate Professor level, the individual must demonstrate a record of teaching excellence as well as publications in referred journals expected of a faculty member in a Masters level AACSB institution. Review of applications begins January
