Dear ONE members:
As we begin to prepare for the Academy meetings, I wanted to point out a
way we can all feel a bit better about the carbon emissions we produce
when traveling by air. If you haven't all ready come into contact with
these organizations, there are organizations set up to help you offset
your carbon emissions by purchasing "green tags" which, in essence, are
then used to make donations to people who are building clean energy
generators such as wind, solar, or methane.
I have no affiliation with any of the carbon offset groups, though I
have used NativeEnergy.com before. I found a website that gives a
run-down of what different organizations charge per ton for carbon
emissions:
http://www.ecobusinesslinks.com/carbon_offset_wind_credits_carbon_reduction.htm
I would like to send a similar message to other Academy listservs, so
please forgive any cross-postings that may come your way.
Thanks!
Best Regards,
Wendy
