Hello all:
The Aspen Institute's Business and Society Program (Aspen BSP) is thrilled to announce the Social and Environmental Impact Network (SEIN).
SEIN is a fully searchable online library of academic research and teaching materials, dedicated to the social and environmental impacts of business..
SEIN is "open access," which means that anyone can upload anything, anytime. As of 1/10/2007 there were 900+ documents available for free download.
-See all 900 resources, in order of popularity
-Share your knowledge, upload your own materials [see instructions below]
Aspen BSP's CasePlace.org created SEIN within the popular SSRN.com website.
SSRN.com has long been the leading library of academic research in many core business disciplines (especially finance, economics, and law). In recent months they're getting 5 million+ hits from more than 100,000 registered users-mostly faculty.
Our goal is to create a place where the hundreds of faculty (like you!) who work on these issues can share all kinds of work with each other, as well as with the 100,000+ other faculty, reporters, and executives who use SSRN.com. CasePlace.org remains the premier site for case studies, teaching modules, and pre-screened teaching materials.
You can share your own knowledge, right now, with this huge community.
SEIN is organized into hundreds of sub-topics under 4 main headings-Social, Environmental, Ethical, and Educator (teaching materials). Any resource can be filed in up to 10 categories simultaneously. We're looking for anything you want (and have permission!) to share: working papers, published research, homework assignments, exams, classroom notes/slideshows, etc. [See below for instructions]
The Social and Environmental Impact Network is a partnership.
Our Network Partners include Ashoka, Business for Social Responsibility, Net Impact, and the Research Network for Sustainable Business. Our growing list of Faculty Advisors includes Paul Bloom (Duke), Marc Epstein (Rice), Tim Fort (GW), Geoff Heal (Columbia), Andy Hoffman (Michigan), Andy King (Dartmouth), Andrea Larson (Darden), Todd Sayre (USF).
We'd love to know what you think. Poke around the website. Upload some materials. And tell us if you find this useful.
Thanks so much.
