Dear all,
We are happy to bring to your attention the following PDW session at the upcoming Academy of Management meeting. The PDW on sustainable entrepreneurship should be of interest for scholars striving to describe, explain and understand sustainable entrepreneurship against the background of established theories, and vice versa those interested in established theories looking for a topical and relevant context.
Best regards

Theorizing on Sustainable Entrepreneurship Sustainable Entrepreneurship
Sustainable entrepreneurship is an emerging research stream, which focuses on new ventures creating economic, social and ecological value. The empirical examination of the phenomenon by researchers from different fields has contributed to our understanding of sustainable entrepreneurship in recent years, yet this research has mainly remained phenomenon-driven so far. Theoretical implications, if any, have remained subordinate to the phenomenological observations and the link between empirical results and theory is rather implicit at this stage of research. To address this gap and to enhance theory building and elaboration in sustainable entrepreneurship, the aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers from different divisions, particularly entrepreneurship, managerial and organizational cognition, organization and the natural environment, as well as organization and management theory to develop a comprehensive research agenda on the micro, meso and macro levels of analysis. Thereby, our workshop is in direct response to the AoM 2015 Theme "Opening Governance", by revisiting current institutional and management practices in the light of pressing social and environmental problems and by opening up new research avenues to address one of the most important challenges of our time.
