An undergraduate student of mine (Madeline Lawler) and I created this gamification exercise to help students think about how to use gaming concepts to change behavior. In our case it is around energy consumption within the University. It describes a model of gamification and presents a scenario. I sometimes teach this as a counterpoint to external stakeholder management concepts. Gamification is a method to engage closer stakeholders such as employees or even customers in fun behavioral change. I have used this video -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vInCVUIiq6g to kick things off. I often give them 4 minutes to read the case, 10 minutes in groups to create a game and then some time sharing the games.
