The Strategy Department at IE University invites applications for tenure-track positions in Strategic Management, effective September 2026. Candidates should have the ability to collaborate and work closely with faculty from other disciplines and to provide intellectual leadership in the area.

Our department's research focuses on how organizations navigate complexity and change, and the impact of managerial decisions on organizational performance, market dynamics, and broader societal outcomes. Although we welcome applications from scholars working in any strategy-related area, we are particularly interested in applicants whose research is aligned with our key areas of interest: innovation, platforms, nonmarket strategy, strategic governance, multinational management, organization design and adaptation, and institutions.
Our faculty have published in top academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Management Science, Journal of Management Studies, and Journal of International Business Studies, among others. They have won prestigious research grants such as the ERC Starting Grant, ERC Proof of Concept Grant, and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship. In addition, our faculty includes current or former Associate Editors of the Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, and Strategic Organization, as well as Editorial Board members of the Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management, Academy of Management Discoveries, and Academy of Management Perspectives.
