    Hello!

We are excited to invite you to another session of our this webinar series looking at the planetary boundaries from interdisciplinary perspectives. The Sustainable Enterprises Initiative (SEI) and Institute on Ecosystems (IOE) at Montana State University are co-hosting this interdisciplinary series.

On Wednesday April 29th 2026 (9-10am US Mountain Time), we'll host Dr. Rory Padfield to discuss digital geospatial mapping tools as transparency – or 'map-washing' devices for corporate supply chains. This event will be recorded, please see the reference below and attached flyer for more information.

Padfield, R., Matoh, S., Tyson, A., Wong, C., Bridge, G., & Dales, A. (2025). Transparency or MapWashing? Digital Geospatial Visualisation Tools in the Palm Oil Industry. Business Strategy and the Environment, 34(5), 5967-5987. https://doi.org/10.1002/bse.4280

**Please register for this webinar on Zoom with this link.

This and the previous talks relate to the 'land system change' planetary boundary, defined as "The transformation of natural landscapes, such as through deforestation and urbanization, disrupts habitats and biodiversity and diminishes ecological functions like carbon sequestration and moisture recycling. Globally, the remaining forest areas in tropical, boreal, and temperate biomes have fallen below safe levels" (Stockholm Resilience Center, 2025).

Hope you can join us for this webinar session on April 29th!
