    Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to share the Call for Papers for our subtheme at the next online EGOS (European Group of Organization Studies) Colloquium 2026, Sub-theme 59: The Interplay between Technology & Human Rights in Business. This sub-theme underscores the importance of examining the use of technology and its implications for human rights, since technology introduces new risks that require managers to remain vigilant about potential harm within their operations.
This sub-theme also emphasizes the positive role of technology in advancing human rights, alongside more critical examinations of its risks and unintended consequences. Emerging research (e.g. Rogerson & Parry, 2020) investigates how blockchain may enhance visibility and trust in supply chains, which has clear implications for human rights due diligence and traceability (e.g., identifying risks such as forced labor or compliance failures).
We look forward to your contributions and to an engaging discussion at the EGOS Colloquium July 9–11, 2026. The colloquium will be in a virtual format. The deadline for https://www.egos.org/jart/prj3/egos/main.jart?rel=de&reserve-mode=active&content-id=1756645686117&subtheme_id=1733841803195  is Wednesday, January 7, 2026, 12:00 CET.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our subtheme!
    All the best,
