The 2026 Impact Investing Days will take place at IE Business School (hosted by the IE Chair of Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing) in Madrid, Spain, 14–15 October 2026, followed by a PhD and Junior Faculty Workshop on 16 October 2026. The conference brings together academics, practitioners, social entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss research and practice in impact investing and to deepen our understanding of the relationship between social and environmental impact, financial returns, and investment decisions.

Researchers interested in participating are invited to indicate their interest via the following short form:https://shorturl.at/nWIia.

The first day will feature keynote talks and panel discussions designed to encourage dialogue between scholars and practitioners on emerging challenges and developments in the field. The second day will focus on presentations of academic research at different stages of development. We welcome submissions that advance the theoretical, empirical, or practical understanding of impact investing and that contribute to improving practice and policy.

We invite proposals for discussion panels as well as academic research papers. Panel proposals should combine academic and practitioner perspectives. Academic submissions may take the form of full papers or extended abstracts. Submissions will be reviewed and each accepted paper will be assigned a discussant. The submission deadline for papers is 1 June 2026, while panel proposals will be considered on a rolling basis until 1 June 2026.

Scientific committee members include the host Rachid Justo (IE), as well as  Kai Hockerts (CBS), Leonardo Boni (POLIMI),  Tyler Wry (Whartin), Chiara Andreoli (ESADE), Guillermo Casasnovas (ESADE), and Lisa Pramann (CBS).

Looking forward to meet in Madrid! Please feel free to share this announcement widely.
