    Dear Colleagues,

    Once again, nominations are open for the Nobel Prizes.  There has been an effort in recent years to get Pope Francis, Herman Daly (the father of ecological economics), and The Club of Rome recognized as joint recipients in Sustainable Development for a Nobel Peace Prize.  You can support this effort by endorsing this proposal at NP4SD.org

    how about a new Nobel prize in sustainability?


    Interesting to pit the Pope, who has not yet embraced birth control, against the Club of Rome, who saw population as well as economic growth as key factors driving us over the cliff. 


    The Nobel peace prize, of course, is usually reserved for tyrants and warmongers.
