    AOM PDW 2019 Boston "Publishing in AMJ: Tips from the Editors"

    Saturday, August 10, 2019, 1:00PM – 4:00PM

    Sheraton Boston Hotel, Back Bay, Ballroom AB

     This PDW is hosted by the incoming editorial team of the Academy of Management Journal (http://aom.org/Publications/AMJ/Incoming-Editorial-Team.aspx).

     

    The program:

    1. Introduction by Laszlo Tihanyi (Editor-elect)
    2. Presentation by Mark de Rond (University of Cambridge), winner of the 2016 AMJ Best Article Award (with Jaco Lok, Macquarie University): Some things can never be unseen: The role of context in psychological injury at war. Introduction by Scott Sonenshein (Rice University)
    3. Roundtable discussions about theoretical contribution and framing manuscripts for impact, theorizing and developing hypotheses, field and experimental research methods, publishing qualitative studies, getting a revise and resubmit, responding to reviewers, using archival data in management research, open science and transparency, and reviewing for AMJ.
    Facilitators will be members of the incoming AMJ Editorial Team and Editorial Review Board. AMJ editors attending the PDW will include:

    The PDW is open to all attendees of the AOM 2019 Annual Meeting. Registration is not required.
