    Join us in Bloomington for our 16th Annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference!

    The Annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference is a two-day conference that brings together scholars, researchers, students and practitioners from around the world to discuss emerging concepts and explore topics in social entrepreneurship, social enterprise, social innovation, sustainability and impact. The conference, the largest academic gathering of its kind in terms of research paper submissions, is dedicated to the ongoing development of theory and research on social entrepreneurship and its impact on global communities.

     

    We are delighted to announce our keynote speakers for the 16th Annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference:

     

    Mary Ann Glynn, Joseph F. Cotter Professor of Management and Organization, and Director of Research, Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics, Boston College
    Matthew Lee, Assistant Professor of Strategy, INSEAD
    Ute Stephan, Professor of Entrepreneurship, King's College London

     

    In addition, we will hold several dedicated sessions on highly topical aspects relating to social entrepreneurship research, including:

    * Optimal Distinctiveness of Social Ventures, with the confirmed participation of Michael Conger (Miami U, Ohio), Greg Fisher (Indiana), Tyler Wry (Wharton), Eric Zhao (Indiana)

    * Compassion Venturing and Resilience in the Face of Adversity, with the confirmed participation of Erin Powell (Clemson), Dean Shepherd (Notre Dame), Trent Williams (Indiana)

    * Entrepreneurship and Poverty Alleviation, with the confirmed participation of Jeff McMullen (Indiana), Brett Smith (Miami U, Ohio), Chris Welter (Miami U, Ohio)

     

    ABSTRACT / PAPER SUBMISSION AND REVIEW PROCESS:

    Authors who wish to present their papers at the conference should submit electronically a three-page abstract (double-spaced, times new roman font, size 12) by July 1st, 2019 to the conference co-Directors Dr. Sophie Bacq and Dr. Jill Kickul at this address: 16annualSEconf@gmail.com

     

    Abstracts will be selected and authors will be notified and invited by August 1st, 2019. A full paper will be due on November 1st, 2019.
