Come and Get Some Fresh Air
Panel in the Park: Urban Green Spaces
Meet in the Lobby of the Westin at 4pm
When: Sunday, 11 August, 2019, 4pm – 6pm
What: A Discussion with Local Environmental Leaders about the Importance of Green Spaces in Urban Environments
Where: Meet us in the Lobby of the Westin at 4pm to walk together to the Titus Sparrow Park (12 minutes' walk); or meet us at Titus Sparrow Park at 4:20pm (200 W Newton Street, Boston).
Come walk with us to the beautiful Titus Sparrow Park, only about 12 minutes from the Westin.
At the park, we'll host a sit-on-the-ground "picnic panel" with local environmental leaders about the importance of urban green spaces, and how to develop cities in ways that preserve green spaces.
You'll hear from people actively working to conserve Boston's green spaces, and you'll have the opportunity to ask questions.
Panel members:
¨ Benjamin Pignatelli, Chair, Massachusetts Chapter Sierra Club
¨ David Meshoulam, Executive Director & Co-Founder, Speak for the Trees
¨ Steven Sloan, President, Friends of Titus Sparrow Park
¨ Evan Bradley, Marketing Coordinator, Emerald Necklace Conservancy
It'll be a nice walk and a great conversation that will help you work up an appetite for dinner. Bring something to sit on (perhaps your AOM bag!), a hat (for the sun), and a full water bottle. We'll provide snacks, sunscreen, and extra cover to sit on.
We can't wait to welcome you to Titus Sparrow Park and show off a beautiful part of our city!
