The Promise and Problems of Inclusive Organizing: Socratic Dialogues for Grand Challenges

For those attending the Academy of Management in Boston this year join us for an afternoon of deep inquiry and discussion at the interactive PDW "The Promise and Problems of Inclusive Organizing: Socratic Dialogues for Grand Challenges" on Friday, Aug 9th, 2019, 4:45 PM - 6:45 PM in the Boston Marriott Copley Place, St. Botolph.

Come see the Socratic Method of public dialogue in action as we develop our collective capacity for shared wisdom with expert researchers in social issues, cross-sector partnerships, and supply chain management.

This PDW addresses the theme of "inclusive organizing" by hosting a high-level conversation between practitioners and academics about inclusivity within, across, and beyond organizations. We highlight the Grand Challenges of energy management, quality education, and system transformation by hosting three Public Conversations with senior managers from well-known NGOs and the business.

No pre-registration is required for the PDW, so all conference attendees are welcome to join.

In advance of the PDW, there is an optional pre-conference webinar on the Socratic method on June 11th at 9:00-11:00 a.m. EDT/14:00-16:00 BST/15:00-17:00 CEST. Please register for the webinar here: https://forms.gle/h6AYWfRfQgE2h3427

During the main event in Boston, we will have audience participation in round table discussions, public discussion, live interviews with leading practitioners using Socratic style inquiry, and a panel discussion where editors of leading business ethics, public, nonprofit, and supply chain management journals will reflect on how these themes can advance research in their disciplines.

We look forward to seeing you in Boston!
