Management Research on Corporate Adaptation to Climate Change: Climate Adaptation Strategies
Friday, 9 August, 9.45 - 11.15
Westin Copley Place Boston, in room "North Star"
Session #92; Sponsors: OMT, STR, ONE
Global climate change is considered one of society's most pressing grand challenges. Most of the management-related research on climate change has focused on prevention or mitigation. Management scholars have barely begun to address how business organizations strategically adapt to climate change. This professional development workshop (PDW) aims to foster dialogues and collaboration within the management community on climate change adaptation. Our aim is to: 1) identify challenges to and opportunities for research on corporate adaptation to climate change; 2) establish a research agenda and forums for continued dialogue on climate change adaptation; and 3) develop a global network of scholars investigating climate adaptation strategies.
Speakers: P Devereaux Jennings (U. Alberta), Martina Linnenluecke (Macquarie U.), Jorge Rivera (George Washington U.), Pete Tashman (UMass Lowell)
Registration: encouraged. Wait-listed participants are encouraged to attend as well.
