    The holder of this role will be a member of a research team carrying out research under the direction of a principle investigator. The research team is investigating the relationship between organisational culture and supply chain sustainability approaches and performance.     A PhD or Master's degree in a related area such as organisational theory, operations management, or environmental studies is required. Knowledge or background in sustainability issues and an understanding of the research literature on organisational culture and/or supplier relationships are highly desirable. Training in qualitative methods, good writing skills and attention to detail are essential. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers already on the project, but they should be able to work independently and take initiative to structure, develop and implement appropriate research activities.

    This is a fixed term appointment until 30 September 2020.

    Successful candidates at Research Associate level who have not been awarded their PhD by the appointment date will be under-appointed as a Research Assistant (Grade 5) employed on a salary within the following band: £26,243 - £30,395 per annum. Upon award of the PhD the individual will be promoted to Research Associate (Grade 7) on a salary of £32,236 per annum.

    The role holder will be based in Central Cambridge.

    We anticipate that interviews will be held during the week commencing 5 August 2019.
