    Dear ONErs,

The Department of Management at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship, to begin September 1, 2020.

Candidates must hold an earned PhD/DBA in Management or a closely-related discipline (ABDs who will be completed by no later than 8/31/20 will be considered). Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral experience, and to those showing evidence of a promising publication record. Candidates must have teaching experience, as they will teach in-person and online core and elective courses at graduate and undergraduate levels.

Candidates from a variety of backgrounds are welcome to apply, but should possess research and teaching interests at the intersection of business and society with a focus on urgent social and environmental issues. Topical areas of interest might include, for example, diversity and cross cultural management, leadership, social entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity, technology, ethics, sustainability, inequality, and the changing nature of work. The position will support the PhD track in Organizations and Social Change, which provides a distinctive critical approach to management and organization studies.

The department is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Management, which offers bachelors, Master's and Ph.D. degrees, including an online and a flex-MBA. The college has an established Entrepreneurship Center, Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness, and Center for Collaborative Leadership. Numerous opportunities for research and collaboration exist with faculty, businesses, institutes, and research centers in the university system and in the greater Boston area. The region is a global hub of innovation and expertise in a number of sectors, including financial services, clean tech, biotech, healthcare, life sciences, education, and software development.
