What contribution can organizational scientists offer to confront climate disruption?

Research Seminar & Round Table Discussion

at King's Business School, King's College, London

    Bush House, 30 Aldwych WC2B 4BG

    July 2nd 2019, 10am-12pm, room (S)2.06

    with

Joel Bothello (Concordia U.), Giuseppe Delmestri (WU Vienna), Helen Etchanchu (Montpellier Business School), Gabriela Gutierrez-Huerter O (King's Business School)

In this interactive seminar we discuss two subthemes:

    1. How can we offer our knowledge of organizational and institutional dynamics. For this Giuseppe will present his current work with Florian Überbacher around normativity, action research and institutional theory to prompt discussion. Discussant: Joel Bothello.

    2. How can we offer the symbolic power of behavioral changes prefiguring a zero carbon world as other (climate) scientists are already doing (Academics  Fly Less, @flyingless;  #sabbicycle). For this Helen presents the pledge #EGOSbyTrain and together with Gabriela starts a discussion around a movement of Organizational Scientists for Future(#OS4F).

In the afternoon some of us will leave at 4pm from King's Cross Station towards EGOS in Edinburgh.

If you wish to attend, please RSVP to h.etchanchu@montpellier-bs.com
