I am writing to invite you to participate in the Doctoral Consortium of the IABS Annual Meeting being held between March 21-24, 2019 in San Diego, California.

The Doctoral Consortium (DC) will take place all day Thursday, March 21st  and it will be an  excellent opportunity for doctoral students to (i) receive one-on-one feedback on their doctoral research, (ii) learn in focused sessions tips on successfully managing doctoral research, publishing, and launching academic careers, and (iii) interact in a Q&A session with representatives of key journals in business and society field (e.g., Business & Society, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics). We will also plan a welcome dinner on Wednesday evening, March 20th where you can meet with fellow doctoral students and some senior scholars in our field in a relaxed setting.

The DC is designed to benefit students of all stages in their doctoral programs. Participation is free but you must be registered to attend the conference at the reduced student rate. For consideration as a participant, please email me by October 15th, 2018 a maximum five page long extended dissertation abstract (if you are an advanced student); or a dissertation proposal or plan (if you are a beginning or an intermediate student). These documents will be used to match you up with an expert scholar who will provide you constructive feedback in a one-on-one session during the DC.

Also, the deadline to submit your proposals for the IABS annual meeting is quickly approaching. Proposals are invited for discussion sessions, papers, symposia, workshops, and innovative sessions and may be submitted from now until October 1st via our online system

Looking forward to your dissertation proposals/abstracts for the Doctoral Consortium.  If you have any question, please feel free to email me: panwarr@appstate.edu.
