    1st Global Good Congress
    02nd of November 2018

     

    The 1st Global Good Congress, jointly organized by EPFL Tech4Impact and the Global Good Festival, will be held on November 2nd in the Olympic Museum in Lausanne (Switzerland). The congress aims at promoting the dialogue between academia and businesses by bringing together researchers and practitioners around the theme of "sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship".     Preliminary Agenda for November 2, 2018

    • 08:00-09:00: Registration and Interactive Poster Exhibition
    • 09:00-09:05: Welcome
    • 09:05-09:35  Keynote by Geoffrey Kistruck (Schulich School of Business at York University)
    • 09:45-10:45: Break-Out Sessions (3 Breakout Groups, 4 Presentations of 10mins each, 20 min follow up Q&A with all speakers)

    Participants have the possibility to change topic tracks

    • 11:00-12:00: Break-Out Sessions (3 Breakout Groups, 4 Presentations of 10 mins each, 20 min follow up Q&A with all speakers)
    • 12:00-13:00: «Flying» Lunch & Interactive Poster Exhibition
    • 13:00-14:00: Keynote
    • 14:00-15:30: Movie Screening "Poverty Inc." (https://www.povertyinc.org/)
    • 15:30-16:00: Panel Discussion i.a. with Mark Weber (graduate researcher at MIT and co-producer of Poverty Inc.)
    • 16:00-16:15: Closing

     

    Call for Abstracts

    We encourage contributions from science and practice that explore innovative and entrepreneurial paths to create social and environmental impact. Proposals for presentations/posters can be submitted as a short abstract (title, principal topic, methods, results and practical implications). An abstract should not exceed 500 words. Abstracts qualify for short presentations (10 minutes) in one of the breakout sessions or for poster presentations as part of the interactive exhibition. Submissions will be reviewed by an internal committee. Please submit your abstract (incl. all authors details) until 15th of September 2018 via e-mail to t4i@epfl.ch.
