Hi, Folks - many of you have no doubt already read this, or at least seen some of the discussion around it.  But just in case you haven't, and to foster some more discussion here at Connect, I thought I would post this recent New York Times Magazine article about the work to halt Climate Change in the 1980's, and how tantalizingly close we were to taking action.

I hope to see many of you in Chicago in a few days!

Losing Earth: The Decade We Almost Stopped Climate Change
This narrative by Nathaniel Rich is a work of history, addressing the 10-year period from 1979 to 1989: the decisive decade when humankind first came to a broad understanding of the causes and dangers of climate change. Complementing the text is a series of aerial photographs and videos, all shot over the past year by George Steinmetz.
