The research core area of this position is defined as innovation and transition research with an emphasis on sustainable development. The focus is on corporate innovation processes as well as on inter-organizational and regional innovation networks (innovation ecosystems) taking into account societal transition processes.
We expect high-quality research at an international level in close cooperation with the university's focus area of climate change and sustainable transformation. Teaching activities are to be provided for the study program "Environmental Systems Sciences" (bachelor-, master- and PhD-level) and for the international Joint Master programmes "Sustainable Development" and "Industrial Ecology"; this includes the supervision of bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses.
With its 4,300 employees and 32,500 students, the University of Graz provides an exciting and varied work environment. The Institute of Systems Sciences, Innovation and Sustainability Research concentrates its research and teaching activities on the analysis of sustainability-related transition, innovation and adaptation processes on the corporate and the regional level.
