Being a pracademic: reflecting on teaching responsible management in Russia
I would like to share with you my story of becoming a university teacher in Russia. I was lucky to become a part of the LEAP network right at the beginning of my teaching career. Thanks to this, I was immediately exposed to the innovative learning and teaching pedagogies which I was able to use in my courses. I will be talking about what it is like to be a foreigner in my own culture and what it takes to become a popular lecturer on sustainability for undergraduate and graduate students in Russia.
I am a passionate researcher. I have over 15 years of experience both in applied and academic research. Most of my research projects have an international exposure. My areas of specialization are nonprofit organizations, professional and business associations, business ethics, corporate social responsibility and sustainability mindset.
Also I love to teach. I have been teaching bachelor and master level students my course on "Responsible Management: Developing a Sustainability Mindset" in Russia and Germany. I try to use a mix of interactive and experiential learning techniques with the students. I believe in global networks and engage students in the leading international learning projects for the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
