Are you passionate about making a difference in the clean energy transition? Do you want to be part of an innovative and dynamic team helping drive change from the community level? Do you have a scholarly background in alternative forms of organizing and an interest in governance and financing innovations? If you answered yes to these questions, join us to be a part of a transformative journey towards a sustainable future in our project "Innovations in the Governance and Financing of Community Energy Organizations." We are looking for a self-starter who can develop and execute promising research projects, develop teaching resources, and mobilize knowledge. You will be a key part of the Accelerating Community Energy Transformation (ACET) project working directly with Dr. Simon Pek and Dr. Basma Majerbi from the Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria.
This specific project will focus on how different types of community energy organizations like energy co-operatives are-and, more importantly, could be-governed and financed. We are particularly interested in exploring the intersection of innovations in organizational governance and alternative sources of financing. We are open to qualitative, quantitative, and conceptual methods, depending on the research question.
The anticipated start time of this position is January 2025, though this is flexible based on our chosen candidate's circumstances.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please consult the full details, including qualifications, expected responsibilities, and the application process in the attached document. Applications are due on July 31, 2024.
We look forward to hearing from you!
