We are currently accepting submissions for our 9th annual AOM Professional Development Workshop (PDW) on Movements and Markets (formerly the Social Movements, Stakeholders, and Nonmarket Strategy PDW).
Program Structure
-
Expert panel and open discussion: As in previous years, the workshop begins with an expert-led panel discussion followed by a networking session. All are welcome to attend-no submission or registration required.
-
Research roundtables: The second half of the workshop will feature research roundtables, offering participants valuable feedback on works-in-progress, from preliminary research ideas to completed manuscripts. We warmly encourage submissions from scholars at all career stages-from early PhD students to full professors.

Panel Theme
This year's panel explores collaborative activism, an increasingly significant force reshaping movement-market dynamics. While traditional activism often employs contentious tactics, we observe innovative collaborative approaches emerging across sectors and organizational boundaries. The discussion will examine how various forms of collaborative activism drive substantive change and address the delicate balance between cooperation and cooptation in addressing pressing societal challenges.
