Why Accreditation Matters: A Challenge for
    Global Entrepreneurial  Ecosystems

Keynote: Caryn Beck Dudley, President & CEO, AACSB
Amidst the coronavirus pandemic that turned the world as we knew it into something blurred and distorted, the Association to AdvanceCollegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), led by Caryn Beck-Dudley, took the opportunity to construct new Business Accreditation Standards that would create a stronger future filled with a new generation of leaders encouraged to be the change they wish to see in the world. AACSB constructed principles-based and outcomes-focused standards; in other words, they were led by the concept of being proactive rather than reactive, finding upstream solutions to address a problem at its source, and pivoting to where a situation warrants through agility. Accreditation by AACSB represents the international seal of approval for business and accounting programs. It ensures that the educational needs of students are met through high-quality courses, continuous improvement, and excellence in education.  This session invites attendees to evolve their perspectives around education, specifically as future business leaders.
Improving the Credibility of management Research to Facilitate Movement from Science to Practice

    Keynote:
    Herman Aguinis, Ph.D.
    President-Elect, Academy of Management
As a leading researcher in small business management, social entrepreneurship, and team development, Dr. Herman Aguinis is no stranger to the power of research in creating impactful change for small businesses. His scholarship provides an undeniably strong framework for guiding small business practices so that they can do good while doing well.  So often, in the research world, the theory is separate from practice. In this plenary, Dr. Aguinis will challenge attendees to reflect on their role as researchers by posing the question, "What are we researching for? Who are we hoping to reach?" After this session, attendees will walk away with an intimate understanding of the interconnectedness between scientific research and real-world application.
