Climate changing business - Tales of Innocence and Innovation from Aotearoa - New Zealand

New Zealand's image often draws on a notion of being "100% Clean and Green," but beneath that tagline lie multiple ways in in which governments and businesses have attempted to address climate change. On Monday, April 25 at 7pm EDT two guest speakers from New Zealand (Aotearoa) - researchers Nicholas Cradock-Henry, of Manaaki-Whenua – Landcare Research and Bob Frame, of  Gateway Antarctica at the University of Canterbury – will share their perspectives with the WPI community.

Cradock-Henry and Frame will talk about what has been behind the country's successes and innovations, as its businesses start to adapt, and address, climate change. They will begin with a look at New Zealand's dairy and wine industries, then discuss the climate response from a policy standpoint, and how those actions might be relevant globally, ending with an interactive discussion that will focus on possible pathways for North America.

Pre-registration is required for the April 25th Zoom webinar. It will also be streamed on WPI's YouTube channel. The talk is being sponsored through a Department of Education grant Business School Professor Michael Elmes received in 2021 in cooperation with the WPI Wellington Project Center.
