Please share widely! We're really excited for this year's ONE Doctoral Consortium. Please see below (or attached) for the detailed call.

Thanks to ONE Leadership for offering registration sponsorship to ALL accepted doctoral students. Thanks to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation for sponsoring up to 2 students to attend the consortium in person (Priority will be given to applicants from regions under-represented in AOM as well as to students attending the AOM conference for the first time and those who do not have funding from their departments. Please see full eligibility below).

    ONE Doctoral Consortium
    August 7, 2022
    Offered with Hybrid Structure
82nd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM)
    Seattle, Washington

The ONE Doctoral Consortium offers a networking, learning, and research reflection opportunity to doctoral students engaged in organizations and the natural environment (ONE) research. The consortium allows doctoral students at a more advanced stage of their program to engage with other like-minded students, and gain valuable mentorship from junior and senior faculty in their field. Doctoral students will have the opportunity to network with colleagues, ask candid questions to faculty, and discuss their research projects in an open environment. These dialogues take place in small groups to maximize the interaction and engagement between all the students and faculty members. The program will include research feedback sessions, panels on publishing your dissertation, and workshops on teaching ONE topics.

The ONE Doctoral Consortium is currently planned to be held in-person with a hybrid option during the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM), Seattle, Washington, on August 7th followed by a social event for PhDs and faculty members. Further, students will also participate in research conversations with senior scholars via zoom prior to the conference. Finally, we will have a remote Fall Follow-up for ongoing community building.

    Funding Support

The ONE division will sponsor the conference registration for students accepted to the consortium.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation will sponsor up to 2 students to attend the consortium in person. These scholarships will provide full funding for the conference (e.g., for travel, registration, living room, etc.). Priority will be given to applicants from regions under-represented in AOM (i.e., universities/institutions that are not located in North America, Europe, and Australia) as well as to students attending the AOM conference for the first time and those who do not have funding from their departments.  Should you wish to apply for one of these limited scholarships, please include a short statement in your application regarding your financial need and how this scholarship would help you support your participation in the consortium and the AOM conference.

To apply, please submit the following documents at the following link:

    1. A one-page memo stating your motivation and interest for participating in the ONE Doctoral Consortium
    2. A two-page research abstract containing information about the main objectives, theoretical perspective, methodological approach and expected findings of your project
    3. A current CV
    4. If applicable, a short statement regarding financial need for consideration for a Kauffman scholarship.

Applications are due by May 20, 2022 at https://forms.gle/8eYQM4HS5oSd7uo59. However, we will be doing rolling admissions, so earlier applications are highly encouraged as the number of participants is limited. Once accepted, PhD students need to send a 10-page extended abstract of a paper or full paper by June 25, 2022.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    With best regards,
