Sage Publications, Inc. Thousand Oaks, London, New Delhi, Singapore
Publisher's Description: Organization & Environment has been created to encourage informed discussion about the organizational roots and consequences of environmental problems and to stimulate deeper reflection on the meaning and significance of the natural world. Edited by John M. Jermier (Univ. South Florida) and Richard York (Univ. Oregon), O&E is a scholarly, peer-reviewed, international journal launched in March of 1997. The journal is a forum for work that illuminates connections between the natural environment (including animals, plants, air, water, land and other ecological entities and systems) and systems of organizing human production and consumption. O&E provides critical examination of the forces driving human activities that are harmful to the natural environment, and develops ideas useful in moving toward more restorative and idealized patterns of living in nature. In particular, O&E is aimed at developing new perspectives on organizations and organizing that encourage environmentally sensitive reflection, inquiry, and practice.
