Pre-AOM 2020 ONE Times: Message from PDW Chair Sukhbir Sandhu
Dear ONErs,
Thank you everyone for your PDW submissions to ONE in 2020. ONE saw a 125% increase in the number of PDW submissions in 2020. So many brilliant ideas! This massive spurt of research activity is great for our field. Social and environmental research is clearly front and centre of organizational and societal agendas.
We were able to accept 45% (8/18) of the PDWs submitted (the number of PDWs we can accept are limited by the number of PDW hours allocated to our division). ONE also had a massive increase in co-sponsorship requests, and we were able to co-sponsor 35% (8/23) of the requests (based on our fixed co-sponsorship quota).
A big shout out to all the submitters, the presenters and to Judith Walls and Ivan Montiel for all their help and advice! A special thanks to Junghoon Park for keeping us sane during the virtual scheduling.
The first ever virtual Academy of Management promises excellent PDW sessions, both synchronous and asynchronous. There is just one ingredient left to add – make sure YOU are there attending these thought-provoking sessions!
