    The School of Business, Economics and Society at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany, is seeking a postdoctoral/teaching fellow to serve as a key member of the research and teaching team at the Chair in Corporate Sustainability Management.

    Description:

    Depending on the precise contractual arrangement, the position is a two or three-year appointment with the option of later extending the contract to a maximum of 6 years in total. Start date is June 1, 2021 (or later). Salary will be commensurate with experience (the range is € 50.000-€ 75.000 per year).

    The position combines ample research opportunities with a reduced teaching load (5 hours per semester). The fellow is strongly invited to join ongoing research activities focusing on sustainability management, corporate responsibility, business ethics and social entrepreneurship. Own research ideas and projects are highly welcome just as collaborative publication projects with senior faculty and PhD students. The fellow will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including thesis supervision.

    What we look for:

    • The candidate should have completed a PhD in management, economics, or other related social science disciplines at or around the time of appointment
    • Deep expertise in sustainability management, CSR, social entrepreneurship, or business ethics
    • Advanced research experience including first publications
    • Sound methodological competence (qualitative, quantitate or both) including working knowledge of data software
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    • German language skills are not expected but highly welcome
    • Demonstrated teaching ability and passion to develop innovative and engaging learning experiences
    • Willingness to move to and live in Bavaria
    • Academic curiosity, dedication to work in a diverse team, entrepreneurial mind-set
