    The George Washington School of Business (GWSB) invites applications for a tenure- track faculty position in the Strategic Management and Public Policy (SMPP) Department starting in Fall 2022. The position is targeted at the Assistant Professor level.

    Responsibilities include conducting and publishing research in top-tier journals, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervising graduate students, and providing service to the School's academic activities. For this position, the candidate is expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in (1) business ethics, (2) business and public policy with a focus on regulation and political economy, and (3) combined business ethics and public policy courses. New tenure-track faculty members ordinarily have a three-course teaching load and summer support. 

    The SMPP Department is committed to rigorous and high-impact scholarly work from a variety of methodological and theoretical perspectives including strategic management; organization theory; business ethics; corporate governance; public policy; sustainability and corporate social responsibility; environmental, social and governance practices (ESG); diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI); social innovation; and grand challenges, among others. Our faculty members publish in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Business Ethics Quarterly, Business History Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Organization Theory, Research Policy, and Strategic Management Journal, among others.
