    ONE Friends,

The Department of Management at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship, beginning September 1, 2022. Appropriate candidates will hold an earned PhD/DBA in Management or closely-related discipline (ABDs will be considered but must complete their PhD by 8.1.2022). Candidates will be expected to teach in-person and online core and elective courses at graduate and undergraduate levels.

Candidates from a variety of backgrounds are welcome to apply, but should possess research and teaching interests at the intersection of business and society. Topical areas of interest might include, for example, ethics, human resources/labor, entrepreneurship, and other related areas of management and organization.

The Department is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Management, which offers bachelor and graduate degrees, including an MBA that can be completed online, on campus, or a combination. The college has a Center for Collaborative Leadership, an Entrepreneurship Center, and it collaborates in cross-college initiatives such as the Sustainable Solutions Lab and the Venture Development Center.  Numerous opportunities for research and collaboration exist with faculty, businesses, governmental agencies, institutes, and research centers in the university system and in the greater Boston area. The region is a global hub of innovation and expertise in a number of sectors, including financial services, clean tech, healthcare, life sciences, education, and software development.
