Job title: Lecturer (Assistant Professor) / Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Strategy and Organisation
    Department: School of Management
    Salary: Lecturer: Grade 8* - from £41,526 to £54,131. Senior Lecturer: Grade 9* - from £51,034 to £64,604
Placed on: Tuesday 05 May 2020
Closing date: Tuesday 02 June 2020

The Strategy and Organisation Division is seeking to appoint two Lecturers to join its vibrant and collegial academic community. Posts are available on the Lecturer (Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) scale.

We are looking for people who would contribute to any of our three major centres of excellence: Strategy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Organisation Studies, and Human Resource Management. Although preference will be given to applicants with the ability to attract research income, we seek people who are equally passionate about teaching and research and who desire to influence practice.

You will play a full role in the thriving research work of the S&O Division both in collaborating on existing projects and developing your own research activities. Your research should be of a quality that is capable of being published in 4-rated and 4* journals, and you should be interested in contributing to maintaining a lively and friendly academic culture.

You will be joining a high-achieving but supportive team of colleagues who publish in leading journals, including the major Academy of Management journals, the Journal of Management Studies, Organisation Studies, Human Relations, Journal of Vocational Behaviour, etc. Colleagues are active contributors to the academic community: editing journals, taking up leadership positions in professional bodies, organising workshops and conferences, and supporting and mentoring new researchers.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to our range of highly rated undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and to attract outstanding doctoral students. Excellent opportunities exist to teach specialist courses, closely linked to research, to high quality students.

The University of Bath is situated on a modern campus surrounded by attractive countryside overlooking the centre of Bath, a UNESCO-designated World Heritage City, famous for its Georgian architecture and its annual literature and music festivals. It is a safe and friendly campus with strong student services and excellent sports facilities. Bath is located 100 miles west of London and is easily accessible by air, road and rail. We value commitment, achievements and talents and recognise these contributions through a range of rewards and benefits.

Informal enquiries may be made to Professor Nancy Harding (Head of Division - Strategy and Organisation) h.n.harding@bath.ac.uk.
