Caring for Impact on the Job Market: Asset or Liability?
    July 13th, 2020, 11.00am - 12.30pm EDT (ZOOM)

    Panellists:
    Andrew Crane (Bath University)
    Jerry Davis (University of Michigan)
Judith Walls (University of St. Gallen)

    Invited Senior Scholars:
Karen Patterson (University of New Mexico)
Michelle Arthur (University of New Mexico)
    Sara Soderstrom (University of Michigan)
Steve Kennedy (Rotterdam School of Management)

The panellists will discuss the most recent state of the job market and the role of research impact in the hiring process.

    • How can candidates use their application materials to position themselves for success
    • How is an interest in research impact an asset? How is it a liability?
    • How can candidates respond to the COVID-19 job market challenges?

Following the panel, the panellists and invited senior scholars will facilitate roundtable discussions with focus on research statements and how to best present your research ambitions on this year's job market. If you would like to discuss your research statement during a breakout session, please send it to Nicholas (poggioli@umich.edu) by July 7th, 2020.

See you on July 13th, 2020!
