Call for SIM NETworking

We are organising a virtual activity for the benefit of PhD students, junior faculty, and mid-career faculty: SIM NETworking. So, if you are part of this significant community, do read on!

Normally, the physical AoM conference would have provided plenty of opportunities for meetings and feedback. However, as the conference is following a virtual format again, we want to fill this vacuum by facilitating online conversations between junior and senior scholars. Think of these conversations as the one-on-one discussions you have had with visiting speakers at your university - on research, publishing, job market, current events….maybe even over a cup of coffee or tea!

We have organised this as follows:

    • This document: Mentor List identifies the senior scholars who have generously agreed to meet you online for a 30 minute conversation. The document also indicates their research interests.
    • You can sign up via this form: SIM NETworking 2021 (Mentees) - Google Forms. Here, you can indicate up to 6 senior scholars you would like to e-meet (but do note that we will be connecting you to only one!). The due date is: July 26th 23:59 BST, after which the signup closes.
    • After the due date, you will hear from us regarding the scholar you will be e-meeting.  We suggest you arrange your meeting as a follow-up to AoM aiming to meet in the period 5th-31st August.

If you have any questions please contact Annie Snelson-Powell: a.c.snelson-powell@bath.ac.uk.

    Best regards,
