Four specialized certificates are offered: entrepreneurship; leadership in organizations; managing human resources; and operations, logistics, and supply management.     Position Summary

    The Department of Management at Colorado State University invites applications and nominations for a tenure/tenure track Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship/Strategy. This position reports directly to the Department Chair in the Department of Management at the College of Business. The start date for a Fall of 2022 appointment is August 16th, 2022. Salary and benefits are competitive. Specific responsibilities include: Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in strategic management, entrepreneurship, and other related courses; conducting research leading to scholarly publication in leading academic journals; and providing service to the College, University, profession, and community (service expectations are commensurate with rank). Ability to advance the Department's commitment to diversity and inclusion through research, teaching and outreach with relevant programs, goals, and activities.

    Required Job Qualifications

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or related field – candidates who expect to complete the degree prior to the position's start date are encouraged to apply. An established record of publishing empirical research in top-tier, peer reviewed, academic journals, or a demonstrated potential to do so, is required. Candidates must have the background and ability to teach courses in strategy (specifically the capstone course) and entrepreneurship.

    Preferred Job Qualifications

    In addition to required qualifications, preferred candidates will have: (1) an impactful research program that emphasizes entrepreneurship, (2) evidence of the ability to effectively teach the strategic management capstone course, (3) strong potential for leadership to help continue elevating our management program to national prominence, (4) meaningful experience with start-up ventures including social and sustainable venturing and working with start-ups, and (5) the ability to work effectively in a department that places significant emphasis on interdisciplinary interaction and integration. Candidates are expected to have an expressed commitment to the mission and goals of the College and Department.
