The Centre for Business, Society & Organisation (CBOS) at the University of Bath is excited to announce the upcoming #ThinklistNext, a list of doctoral researchers on twitter in the field of responsible business.

Our goal is to rethink the role and responsibilities of business in creating a sustainable society. As part of this mission, we publish the #thinklist - a list of faculty thinkers on social media who focus on issues of responsible business.

The #thinklist was initially devised as a ranking, scoring social media users on their online 'power'. However, since 2020 CBOS have adopted an approach that seeks to be less data-driven and more inclusive. The goal is to amplify the voices of thinkers who have something important to say, irrespective of their current 'profile' or level of visibility.

The thinklist for April 2021, called #ThinklistNext, will focus on doctoral researchers. This group was selected after polling CBOS' twitter followers.

We believe this is an essential group to highlight – as the next generation of thinkers, they will advance understanding and move the dial on issues of responsible business. However, they are often overlooked and unacknowledged. With this list we hope to recognise the contribution of doctoral researchers and help get their voices heard.

    • Must be a current doctoral researcher as of 28th Feb 2021.
    • Must be registered on a PhD or DBA or DPhil programme of a business school or management department, or based in another discipline and engages on a regular basis with the broad management scholarship community.
    • Must be a user of twitter, who actively engages with issues of business and society.
    Selection process
    • The #ThinklistNext will be chosen by a group of curators, and overseen by the Centre for Business, Organisations and Society. This group is made up of current doctoral candidates and early career researchers – Tanusree Jain, Verena Girschik, Kam Phung and Michael Rogerson. They will review nominations against the criteria outlined above.
