This article discusses the limitations of ecological knowledge built from a narrow knowledge base created with colonial practices.
Much here for ONE scholars, in my opinion, especially this: "Recent Western ecological concepts such as social–ecological or coupled human–natural systems are therefore already the de facto way of thinking in many non-European languages."
